Common Conditions Treated

Low Back Pain.jpg

Low Back Pain

This is one of the most common injuries that we see. This low back pain might have developed due to a herniated disc, a paraspinal muscle sprain, or even a fracture. We will leave no stone unturned as we try to help you recover from your injury.

Whiplash

This is the common name given to a cervical (neck) spinal ligament sprain. This happens from the changes in momentum that cause someone's neck to snap back and forth or side-to-side quickly. This can be a painful injury; however, our treatment team knows how to help someone recover from whiplash. We will restore your neck's strength, flexibility, and range of motion.

Headache

Headaches are common following a motor vehicle accident. These can develop from stress following the injury, a direct blow to the head itself, or even from muscle tightness between the neck and scalp. We will help all of our patients figure out the cause of their headaches. Then, we will provide a well-rounded treatment plan that will help them recover.

Concussion

Concussions are very commonly associated with motor vehicle accidents. Not all concussions include “Loss of Consciousness (LOC)”.  Concussions can make daily life difficult and uncomfortable.  Many patients present with only mild symptoms such as: headache, dizziness, trouble concentrating, fatigue, sensitivity to light/sound, etc.  Severity can vary and mild concussions are sometimes missed. At Schlenker Chiropractic all motor vehicle injury patients are screened for concussion.

Extremities

Extremity injuries, including those to the arms and legs, are common after motor vehicle accidents but are often overlooked due to more severe neck and back pain. Extremity injuries we see include: foot, ankle, calf, knee, hip, hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Dr. Schlenker’s Sports Medicine training has prepared him to effectively treat any traumatic extremity injury.
